Purpose of the Singapore Scout Check

The Singapore Scout Check (or SSC) is a regular co-operative meeting of upstream oil and gas operators (the ‘members’) in the Asia-Pacific region. SSC members meet every 2 months to share accurate information (activity reports) about their exploration and production activities in the region. 

Activity reports are confidential to outside parties except for the operators’ partners in the areas represented by a members report. SSC meetings are designed to allow for the equitable sharing of information between members, but no member is required to report information that has not been approved for release by the responsible government authority.

A member may be asked to report on all Asia-Pacific activities of their company, or on the activities of blocks in which they hold a non-operated interest (and where the operator is not represented at the Scout Check). The SSC is a meeting of members to exchange information and views, and full participation is actively encouraged.

This website

The Singapore Scout Check website has two primary functions:

1. To provide a platform for basic information exchange to the Singapore Scout Check Members

2. To provide new prospective members with information on the Scout Check and the requirements for membership.

Existing Scout Check members can use their log on information to confirm meeting attendance, check on meeting schedules, post information and participate in the bulletin board.
